IHC Reviews: Trinity: A Graphic History of the First Atomic Bomb by Jonathan Fetter-Vorm

The history of the atomic bomb is one of those subjects that has always interested me, for many reasons. I’ve had an interest in nuclear physics since I read a long-out-of-print book called The Day the Bomb Dropped on America back in the late 80s. I found it on a trip to the library with my mother, when I would usually pick up books that were totally not age-appropriate for a 10 year old. It was about nuclear accidents at power plants as well as military incidents involving broken or accidentally dropped nuclear weapons. IHC Book Reviews: “Dirty Sanchez Nation” by Evan Marz (NSFW)

When comedian and author Evan Marz sent me an email requesting that I review his new book, I didn’t know entirely what to expect. IHC Book Reviews: “The Conqueror Worms” by Brian Keene

I have a fucking love/hate relationship with Brian Keene’s books…”The Rising” and “City of the Dead” were the two greatest things ever in the history of zombies. And I’m talking everything dealing with zombies: books, movies, death metal album covers, everything! But then you get to “Ghoul” and it was like a boring 30th rate ripoff of Stephen King and “Terminal” was one of the worst things I’ve ever read in my life! Imagine if K-Fed was the main character in a novel and you’ll understand how deep that book hurt my brain. Firmly in the middle of this love/hate tug of war is “The Conqueror Worms” which starts out kicking balls and taking names then about halfway through it starts dying a slow death.

When MTV Press sent me this bo….wah? MTV has a publishing house?! Hahahahahahaha!!!! You’re telling me the sellout shitlickers that made “Jersey Shore” and “Carmen: A Hip Hopera” actually publish books too?! What a fucking joke. Oh well, they were nice enough to mail me this book, so let’s check it out.
