From D23: Pixar announces its next two movie projects for 2013 and 2014

At the D23 Disney Expo yesterday, Pixar announced its next two movies for 2013 and 2014 after Brave comes out in 2012. There aren’t any names to assign to these movies yet, only concepts.

The first one, currently just called “Untitled Pixar Movie About Dinosaurs”, a film about a boy and his pet dinosaur in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct. Never mind the fact that if dinosaurs had never gone extinct, humans most likely never would have evolved, it’s Pixar… they can do what they want.

The untitled dinosaur movie has been rumored for a while, with drawings of a boy and a dinosaur showing up in numerous Pixar studio photos, just as the one at the beginning of the article. The movie will be directed by Pixar veteran Bob Peterson and produced by John Walker.

The 2014 film is just being called “Untitled Pixar movie that you see inside the brain” is being called “incredibly ambitious”, even by ambitious Pixar standards. It’s eyeing a summer 2014 release and is in the early stages of work. Docter said the story will take the audience inside the head, “how we forget, why certain songs get stuck in our heads.” “It’s a place that we’ve all been to but have never seen,” he said.
