Happy birthday HP Lovecraft

Author HP Lovecraft, best known as the creator of the Cthulhu mythos, was born on this day, August 20 1890.

In addition to being a brilliant writer, Lovecraft’s universe was one that he freely gave permission for other authors and artists to explore, making his Cthulhu stories one fo the first works of creative commons-style literature.
