I posted a comment about making your gear from raw materials. It wouldn’t be proper if I didn’t back that up with something I made from scratch.

This is my knife that I made from some shit I bought at home depot, some silver and stones (and mastodon ivory) I got from my ancient jewelry design class teacher.

It’s not pro, but I think it’s decent for a first try and making something by hand is one of the best feelings I’ve experienced, I had a bunch of metal, wood and rocks, I turned it into something nobody else on the planet has. Try it out.
