Dimension Films tapping director Tim Hill for a Short Circuit remake. Yes, Short Circuit.
Hollywood’s all about the reboots and remakes lately, so I guess it was just a matter of time until they got their tentacles around Short Circuit. The remake is being made by Dimension Films, with director Tim Hill heading the project. Hill’s last few movies have all been kiddie flicks— Hop, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties among them.
Right now, there’s no casting or release date, but I don’t know who they’re going to get to play a comically stereotypical Indian guy. I mean I guess they could get a real Indian guy to play the role of Ben, but what’s the fun in that?
