Happy 100th birthday IBM

Normally, I wouldn’t give a crap about the anniversary of a company. Happy whatever Kraft, who gives a fuck. But this is IBM we’re talking about— the company that for decades, put America at the forefront of global technological innovation for decades. The company that either invented or laid the groundwork for much of this wild and weird tech-driven and highly connected world.

And the last couple of days, IBM has spent an incredible amount of money on banner ads and TV ads and everything so that you don’t forget that they’re 100 years old, and in that century that they’ve done some amazing things. And you know what? I’m cool with that and I’ll bite, because they’re IBM and they have done some absolutely amazing things in their 100 years. Unlike say… I don’t know… General Mills. What did they do? Okay, Lucky Charms, I’ll give them that.

So congratulations IBM on reaching 100 years old and may you see another 100.
