End of an era: Maine topless coffee shop forced to close down over silly sign violation
Ever since the GrandView Topless Coffee Shop opened up in Vassalboro, Maine, it’s been nothing but headaches for owner Donald Crabtree. The coffee shop was something he started for fun, and for two years, he’s been harassed by the cops, by town officials and at one point had a pissed off ex-boyfriend of one of his employees burn the place to the ground. But now the town has closed the coffee shop for good over a “Boobies Wanted” sign.
According to the town of Vassalboro, the sign violated zoning rules and somehow this was enough to shut the place down.
