3200 year old Egyptian trumpet stolen from the Egyptian museum is recovered

In 1922, when the tomb of King Tut was first uncovered, two of the artifacts recovered were a pair of silver and brass trumpets, much like ones royalty have enjoyed for millennia to have their presence announced. During the recent uprising in Egypt, despite the best efforts of the population, some items did end up missing from the Egyptian museum, one of them being one of these trumpets.

Well the good news is that the stolen trumpet was found and is now back in the museum. There are still other objects missing that will hopefully turn up in time and come back to the museum where they belong.

In 1939, the brass trumpet was played for the first time in 3000 years, which you can hear here.
