Meet the robot that threw out the first pitch at yesterday’s Phillies-Brewers game
There’s been presidents and actors and musicians and even cartoon characters on hand to throw out the first pitch at professional baseball games, but as far as I know, there’s never been a robot to do the honors until last night at the Phillies-Brewers game at Citizens Bank Park in Philly.
The robot was built over six weeks by Penn State engineers and by design only has a top pitching speed of 40 mph, but could this be the beginning of robot baseball? I would get into baseball if it were anything like Base Wars for the NES.
