I Heart Chaos — My wife and I are thinking about visiting Asheville (N.C.) for a weekend soon and have already done the Biltmore Estate thing during a previous visit. During that previous visit, we stayed on the Biltmore property and never ventured into town, so we don’t know what’s worth doing/seeing in town. Has an IHC’er been to Asheville to know what is good to experience and in what part of town to stay? We’d love to be where we could walk to anything worthwhile we’d want to do or see if possible.

I lived there for about five years. You should definitely go into downtown… there’s lots of cool shops, some great restaurants and clubs. Lots of good bands come through there. Check out the schedule of The Orange Peel specifically.
