The first pics emerge of the 50 power plant workers risking their lives to stop the meltdown at Fukushima
Called the “Fukushima Fifty”, they were the first fifty power plant workers who rushed into the radiation to try and stop a full meltdown at the reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi plant in Japan. In the last few days, 150 more workers have been added, and several of the original 50 have already died and most of the others know all too well that they’re very likely to succumb to the radiation as well, but it’s what they’ve got to do.
