Iran sends a strongly worded letter to the IOC, claiming the 2012 London logo spells “ZION”
Several years after the hideous London 2012 Olympics logo was unveiled, Iran sent a pissy letter to the International Olympic Committee, stating that they’ve uncovered the IOC’s sinister plot by hiding the word “Zion” in the logo. Obviously, Iran hasn’t realized a) the entire world isn’t out to get them and b) the difference between shitty design and global conspiracy.
An IOC official confirmed that the letter had been received, but insisted that the logo “represents the figure 2012, nothing else” while a London 2012 spokesman told The Guardian that “we are surprised that this complaint has been made now.”
