Daily Discussion: Video games that were so bad they scarred you for life

Over the decades, video games have reached every level of awesomeness and every depth of depraved awfulness. But what game(s) have you played that were just so bad that they haunt you to this very day?

This question was inspired by this Angry Video Game Nerd review of Jekyl and Hyde for the NES, because I had the exact same reaction— even though I had really low expectations for the game, it managed to even destroy those hopes and turned out to be one of the worst games I’ve ever played. But then when Final Fantasy XIV came along, I did have really high expectations and was so horribly disappointed when it turned out to be the biggest stinking piece of unfinished garbage I’ve ever played. The only reason I begrudgingly gave it a 2 out of 5 when I reviewed it was because it looked really really nice and has great music. The rest of it is completely fucking broken. Don’t get me started… I don’t think I’ll ever get over FFXIV’s awfulness.
