Samsung’s latest Google Chromebook now available through Google Play for $249

Samsung has just released a brand new shiny Chromebook, and the good news is that the computer is available for purchase for just $249 through the Google Play store.

Announced last week, the new 11.6-inch Chromebook is equipped with an Exynos 5 Dual processor, a pair of USB ports, an HDMI-out port, and 2GB of RAM. The laptop weighs just 2.5 pounds and is 0.8 inches thick, and includes a battery that should last 6.5 hours on a full charge. Along with 16GB of on-board storage, new owners will also have access to an additional 100GB of cloud storage courtesy of Google Drive. The model currently on Google’s online store is the Wi-Fi only version, although we won’t be surprised if the 3G version makes an appearance in the near future as well.
