I Heart Chaos — I just moved to new city for grad school and am rooming with three other people. I am cool with two of them but the third is very verbally abusive towards me especially when he is drunk. I have been trying to avoid him as much as possible but when I asked him if he could be quieter at 3:00am last night because I have a literature review to work on, he goes off and starts screaming FU and telling how much of a dick I am. Any suggestions in getting out of my lease or handling the situation?

It depends on your lease, and it’s something you should discuss with your other roommates, but you should just be able to walk. Or even better, get the other roommates behind you and force him to find somewhere else.
