Foreigners get a look inside North Korea’s film industry for the first time ever

Kim Jong Il, as you may know, is a huge film buff and the people of NK see him as genius of cinema. In Pyongyang is the prestigious University of Cinematic and Dramatic Arts, where the wealthy and privileged kids go to learn the art of making North Korean propaganda films. The interesting thing about this video is that it’s the first one I’ve seen that looks at the upper crust of North Korean society. These people aren’t starving and they’re not eating dirt. They live in nice apartments, eat well and have everything handed to them so that they can be shining examples of Communism in action.
