Daily Discussion: Your favorite silent movies

In the early decades of film, before there was sound, there were a lot of actors and directors with a real passion for the new medium. What these early films lacked in dialogue and THX sound and CGI special effects, they often made up for in raw talent. So if you’re a fan of silent films, what are some of your favorites?
The screenshot above is from ‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’, a 1928 movie directed by Carl Theodor Dryer, with the script taken almost directly from the transcript of the trial of Joan of Arc. It’s got amazing acting and very dynamic and passionate camerawork that really draws you in.
