Christian Bale visits victims of the Aurora shooting
A few days ago, there was a petition going around the interwebs to try and get Christian Bale to visit the injured victims of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting and I was all like “Oh yeah, that’s gonna work.” Well ahem… today, Bale did in fact do just that, paying a visit to the hospital where many are still recovering. He took pictures, gave autographs and was just generally pretty badass.
One of the victims who survived the shooting, Carey Rottman, posted two photos of himself and Bale in an Aurora Medical Center hospital room.
Rottman wrote on his Facebook page that he was shot in the leg during the Batman movie and was taken to the hospital in a police squad car. Despite the injury, Rottman seems to be in good humor writing, “I am definitely feeling nothing but love and am ready to get started on this recovery! By the way, first 30 minutes of the dark knight were SICK!!”
Rottman has also posted photos of himself with Gov. John Hickenlooper and several members of the Denver Broncos.
Sunday, Rottman wrote, “Just got off the phone with my boy Payton Manning. What a great great guy. Thank you for the warm wishes Payton, I’ll be rooting for you baller!!!”
