I Heart Chaos — Polygamy - what is so horrible about it? The more and more I think about it, the more sense it makes. The stigma on it as I see it really just comes down to more religious BS. Hell, the extra household income alone makes it a logical path. Sure there would be extra drama, but find the right person and that could be limited. If anyone could give me any other reason why it is morally or even logically wrong, please enlighten me.

The legality of it is based on religious BS, but unlike gay marriage, there are also valid legal reasons to limit the number of people in a binding, lifetime marriage contract to two. Also, in terms of long-term bonding, no matter what some people say in college, more than two rarely works for very long, and places where polygamy is legal and the marriages do last for life, it’s because one or more of the women are forced into the situation and divorce is illegal.
