CES 2011: Angry Birds, coming in board game form later this year. You’ll shoot your eye out.

Not happy with trying to get Angry Birds on every possible digital platform, Rovio has announced that it will be offering Angry Birds, the board game later this year. This sounds like a great idea and I can’t foresee anything going wrong with this at all. With a board game that encourages kids to stack shit up and knock it over with a slingshot.

This is the kind of thing that a malicious uncle gets a kid for their birthday, only for it to last five minutes before the kids start playing “Let’s see how far down my little brother’s throat I can slingshot a bird” and “Let’s see if I can launch this into dad’s forehead” and “Let’s start stacking up wine glasses”. I know I would have.

Angry Birds Knock on Wood supplies three Angry Birds figurines, four pigs, 14 blocks, 56 different mission cards and, of course, the slingshot. It’ll have a $14.99 pricetag in the U.S. and figures to hit shelves in May.
