Day Z for Arma 2 brings all the crazy zombie combat
A hyper realistic Zombie Survival mod for the military sim, Arma 2. It’s currently in Alpha but it is blowing up quick. You start with just the essentials and nothing more. There is no real “objective”, however you do have to keep your belly full and keep yourself bandaged up after encountering the zombie hordes and the ever present threat of enemy player “bandits” that will try to kill you to steal your precious gear.
It gives you a literal sense of fear in that you do not want to lose the gear that you worked so hard to obtain. The map you will be playing in is 225km squared. Its insane how large this place is, and there is no fast travel.
The game is $30 on steam and $15 on Amazon, both digital downloads.

It’s completely worth it in my opinion.
