Japanese guys invent virtual indoor skydiving for those afraid of heights

As part of the Google Slam competition, a group of guys from Japan used a projector, some harnesses and Google Maps to create a virtual skydiving experience. The guys mounted a projector vertically so it shined on the floor. They put blue plastic on the floor and walls and painted clouds on the walls for effect. The two skydivers were then harnessed up and hung from the ceiling as if they were diving. To further the effect, they used fans and smoke from a fire extinguisher for clouds.
