Leaked photos of the Blackberry 10 show that RIM is still trying

After their golden days (right before the iPhone and Android), RIM’s Blackberry platform has been stumbling along like an old town drunk, never quite able to get back its footing. The Blackberry Playbook tablet was a failure, but RIM keeps trying. Their next act will be the Blackberry 10, a new full touchscreen phone that looks nice for now…
We’d heard that RIM would be distributing BlackBerry 10 alpha devices to developers at the BlackBerry Jam conference this May, and we may have gotten our first look at the hardware. A member of the Crackberry Forums has posted images of a slate-style phone with a handsome, PlayBook-inspired feel to it. The phone is said to be an early development device, but whether it will end up bearing any aesthetic similarity to what developers actually take home next month still remains to be seen.
