Goodwill receives a donated bong, Goodwill is confused

Maybe someone thought it was a vase? A Goodwill location in Friendswood, Texas received a donation of a bong, complete with marijuana residue and it’s confused the old people at Goodwill.
“I don’t know why someone would want to smoke marijuana or turn it in to Goodwill,” agency spokeswoman Meredith Phillips said Tuesday.
The item ended up at the store in the 1600 block of South Friendswood Drive. Police were notified Sunday.
Phillips, with Goodwill Industries of Houston, said the organization occasionally receives unusual donations. A fox fur coat last year netted $10,000 at the agency’s annual gala at the River Oaks Country Club.
But getting a pot bong, Phillips said, is the first that she can recall.
Store employees did the right thing by calling police, she said.
“It’s illegal, so it’s an unfortunate thing that had to happen,” Phillips said.
“Goodwill is thankful to be in the community and to be good neighbors in the community. A part of being a good neighbor is making sure that all rules and laws are followed.”
CBZ: That’s nothing. I still have a couch I got from Goodwill years ago that came with a complimentary switchblade and really old bag of pot. I still have the switchblade somewhere and yes, I smoked the pot, even though it was yellow and smelled like dirty feet. It didn’t do anything but give me an awful headache.
