IHC Book Reviews: “Dirty Sanchez Nation” by Evan Marz (NSFW)

When comedian and author Evan Marz sent me an email requesting that I review his new book, I didn’t know entirely what to expect. But when I received Dirty Sanchez Nation in the mail, I squealed with glee when I took a look at the book. Subtitled “The Ultimate Illustrated Dicktionary of Obscene Sex Terms”, it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Dirty Sanchez is crude, rude, funny and informative.

There isn’t a whole lot to review— Dirty Sanchez isn’t a novel, so there’s nothing to note about any sort of plot. It’s pretty much like Urban Dictionary, only in book form and hilariously illustrated. When this book came in the mail, my mother-in-law was over for dinner and had a blast flipping through the book over a hot meal just to see her expression when I opened the book to “Indian War Paint: Using a used tampon to paint your face” and passed it around the table.
As you can tell by the example illustrations in this review, the book has a mix of terms that you’ve no doubt heard, that you might have heard and ones that are completely new and invented by Marz.

Dirty Sanchez certainly isn’t for everyone. It’s not for your grandmother and it might not be for your sister, but it’s certainly something that I think a of people who frequent IHC might dig. Might make good toilet reading or bed time reading or stoned-as-hell reading or maybe just something for you and your girl and/or boy to study to learn something new. It’s not literature, but it is a lot of fun and for what it is, it’s done pretty well. The illustrations are a bit crude, but so is the humor. Good, dirty and funny and just the kind of thing that keeps my inner 10 year old shit-giggly happy.
