MAD Magazine now available on iPad. Cheap!

Yesterday, appropriately on April Fool’s Day, MAD Magazine launched for the iPad and as a long time MAD fan, I highly recommend the experience. It’s only $10 for a yearly subscription or $2 per issue individually, and since you’re getting it on the iPad, it’s ad-free, just like MAD Magazine used to be.

Each digital issue has an animated cover, an interactive fold-in and some other bells and whistles as well as really nice and easy to use navigation. Unlike National Geographic, which I still prefer in the printed form, reading MAD on the iPad is honestly now my favorite way to read it. My only quip is that if you get an annual subscription for example, once you go through all of Apple’s hoops, it took me a while to figure out that in order to get the full (non free trial) first issue, you have to go to “My Library”, tap on “Missing Issues?” and have it download issues you’ve bought but aren’t in your library. Other than that, it’s a great fucking buy.
