Robert DeNiro’s audition tape for The Godfather
After Taxi Driver, one of Robert DeNiro’s first iconic roles was that of Vito Corleone in The Godfather II. But he had originally auditioned for the role of Sonny in the first Godfather movie, a part that ended up going to James Caan.
