Screenshots from the canceled steampunk Batman game, ‘Gotham by Gaslight’

I love me some Batman, but I’m sort of glad the steampunk Batman game, ‘Gotham by Gaslight’ was mercifully put out of its misery before it could see the light of day. It’s one of those things that could be the most awesome thing ever or it could turn you off buying a Batman game for years. If it got the axe, it possibly was the latter.
At some point in time, Day 1 Studios (F.E.A.R 3) had this exact same notion when they decided to start working on Gotham By Gaslight – a video game based on a comic by the same name. Unfortunately for some unknown reason, the studio has pulled the plug on this project, leaving us with nothing more than a few concept art drawing by the visual artist Julie Farrell, who worked on the game.
Julie Farrell explains why some of the menus are in two different colors: “If you are wondering why the menus are 2 different colors, it was to represent Bruce/Batman. The Brown Scheme signified Bruce’s timeline of how he became the Batman figure (FE Menus) and then when he was Batman the Blue Scheme represented that (HUD)”.
