Alabama candidate named Young Boozer can’t collect all of his campaign signs because people keep stealing them

After an election, it’s the responsibility of a candidate to track down signs that have littered the sides of highways and whatnot to take them down. State treasurer candidate Young Boozer is having a problem collecting his signs because people keep stealing them and selling them on eBay.

Glenda Allred, Boozer’s campaign manager, reported that while many signs are still out there most have been taken as souvenirs. It is not the strange name that is attractive nor the historic election. According to the Press Register and Ms. Allred a “certain demographic” is responsible. The culprits are claimed to be college students who want the signs to hang over their dorm or frat house bars. The signs have even appeared for sale on Ebay.
