McDonald’s Happy Meals banned in San Francisco. Fucking hippies.

Exhibit A: Not a Happy Meal in sight

If you’re a kid in the city of San Francisco, there will be no more fun for you at McDonald’s, not after the city banned the practice of giving away toys with food that’s high in salt, sugar and fat.

“We’re part of a movement that is moving forward an agenda of food justice,” said Supervisor Eric Mar, who sponsored the measure. “From San Francisco to New York City, the epidemic of childhood obesity in this country is making our kids sick, particularly kids from low income neighborhoods, at an alarming rate. It’s a survival issue and a day-to-day issue.” As the first city in the country to undergo such extreme measures, San Francisco is under fire from the franchise which says the board is out of step with the mainstream on the issue of child obesity.

It’s not like that this will stop parents from taking their kids to McDonald’s, it just takes the joy out of it. The next step: It’s okay to take your kids to fast food restaurants, but there will be no smiling while you’re there. Any unnecessary expressions of joy will result in a hefty fine.
