Super fast robotic camera mimics the human eye

You’re not always aware of it, but your eyes aren’t very static. They’re constantly zipping around your environment, taking in detail and keeping track of the important things that eyes should keep track of. Researchers in Germany have finally been able to not only mimic the super fast movements of a human eye in a robotic camera eye, but they’ve done better.

The camera system can point in any direction and is also capable of imitating the fastest human eye movements, which can reach speeds of 500 degrees per second. But the system can also move faster than that, achieving more than 2500 degrees per second. It would make for very fast robot eyes.
