2011 has seemed like a hell of a year, especially if you’re a dictator. Even in February, with all kinds of hell breaking loose in Japan, it seemed like we had a year’s worth of news in just a couple months. But since then, much more of the planet rock and rolled, mainly throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

So of this tumultuous year, cast your votes for what you consider to be the top news stories of 2011. Vote for as many as you feel are worthy. And related, there’s still time to vote for IHC’s 2011 Awesome Person of the Year.
