AdBlock Plus to let ‘acceptable ads’ through to users by default

With the current version of AdBlock, all ads are blocked without exception. But with the new version of AdBlock plus, “acceptable” ads will be let through by default. What are “acceptable” ads? Ads that don’t contain animation or sound or don’t use more than one line of script.
Don’t worry though, if you still want to block all ads from IHC for example, depriving me money that I need for that liver transplant (just kidding), that’s up to you and you can still adjust the settings to block everything.
While the move has inspired some bitter feelings and skepticism from some users, the the plugin’s creators say that the change is being made for altruistic reasons — they say allowing select ads will fund websites that offer non-intrusive ads, reduce the harm of ad blocking for smaller websites, and make the web better in the long term.
