Google Chrome to soon get gamepad support

If you’ve got a Chromebook or you just like using a gamepad for some reason to surf the web, you’ll be happy to know that soon, Google Chrome and Chrome OS will be getting gamepad support.

That means in theory you should be able to plug in a joystick or gamepad and start controlling the browser straight away, without having to install software. Alongside gamepads, webcams and microphones will have similar plug-and-play support, which will open up the door for some nice HTML5 web apps fun.

The Chrome gamepad update will be coming sometime early next year.
