The Samsung/Google Ice Cream Sandwich/Nexus Prime event moved to October 19 in Hong Kong

Last night, someone asked me if I had heard of any updates regarding the rescheduling of the Samsung/Google Nexus Prime unveiling, and the time I hadn’t. And then like an hour later, I found something. It looks like the event will now take place October 19, but has also been moved out of the US to Hong Kong.

Technically, it will be at 10am Hong Kong time, but that’s technically the 19th in the US. The original submitter is right though about the event being choked out by iPhone 4S madness— I keep up to date with a number of tech blogs, and there wasn’t shit about the rescheduling, just news about the iPhone.

And yes, it was rescheduled due to the death of Steve Jobs, which I think is really lame on Samsung’s part. And then to put it in Hong Kong, where most of the US press won’t be able to actually get their hands on the new device? Do you actually want to sell phones or are you just fucking around?
