61328857sadcat.jpgThank you for taking the time to visit I Heart Chaos and to check out our donations page. I Heart Chaos is the independent effort of one person and some very great volunteers. But we're only a couple months old and in these couple of months, it's been very encouraging to see such a rapid growth. Since IHC went live at the end of December 2007, we're already averaging 20,000 visitors a day.

And bandwidth ain't cheap. Right now, IHC is on shared hosting, which means that it's sharing space and bandwidth with other sites on a common server. This means that while we can sustain large traffic increases over a period of time, huge traffic spikes like getting on the front page of Fark or on the front page of Slashdot causes a bandwidth throttle that can take the site offline for short periods of time or up to almost 48 hours in the case of when we were Slashdotted a couple weeks ago.

So, what can you do? Well it's obvious, it's been obvious that we need new servers. Any donation that you can afford will be greatly appreciated and will go into a fund to greatly improve our site hosting. In addition, you can support this site by visiting our banner sponsors, the money from which also goes to making IHC a better place.
