So recently a Mr. Dalton Chiscolm sued Bank of America for $1,784 billion trillion dollars.  That’s $1,784,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.  In the International System of Units this amount would be expressed as 1.784 yottadollars. U.S. District Judge Denny Chin, who is hearing this case in Manhattan’s federal court, recently presided over the Bernie Madoff trial, and thus is familiar with large amounts of money – but even he is impressed by the size of Mr. Chiscolm’s claim.  If every person on earth had as much money as Bill Gates, that total wealth would still only be 1/1000th of the amount requested.

The important part is that now you know that a billion trillion is expressed with the prefix yotta-. And according to that chart above, you can impress your friends and strange girls in bars with your impressive grasp of really large numbers. You know what they say about a guy who has a grasp of really big numbers?
