Trailer for the 1994 Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie that never was [I Heart Comics]
As dumb as the 2005 Fantastic Four movie was, the one that was almost made in 1994 was far more awful. Directed by master of the awful Roger Corman, the movie was shot simply as a way to protect the copyright of the characters and went through a tumultous ride that resulted in being buried forever. First it was going to be a theatrical release, then it was going to be a TV miniseries and then it was just ditched.
But but it starred Jay Underwood of Not Quite Human fame... uh, actually, that's not a good thing.

I must disagree. The 1994
I must disagree. The 1994 film has camp value going for it. The 2005 version is just a generic, big-budget snooze fest with a reliance on poorly rendered CGI. At least the original had its heart in the right place, the newer has no heart at all.
...that said, I've never really had any interest in The Fantastic Four franchise... But were I to watch one of the movies, I'd pick the 94 version every time, hands down.

Why
why does thing look like a rubber muppet...other then that it actually looks bettter then the versions that are currently out
Greedo shot first!
how come they never showed
how come they never showed the torch on fire?
i have this and the thing
i have this and the thing actually doesnt look too bad. still better then the commish. its not much worse then the new one
Never a good series
F4 while amusing as a Stan Lee host tv show, even the series was full of whining and squabbling. Dr Doom was an awesome villian but they kept having to make him look foolish to allow dumbasses like the Fantastic 4 and Spiderman to defeat him.
This seems to have better
This seems to have better production values than your typical Roger Corman movie.
Delsyd Software
Looks better
At least Von Doom doesn't look all that ridiculous. The effects are fairly dated, but the recent ff movies are only that: good effects and money (compare to the brilliance that's iron man, for instance).
I have this on bootleg VHS
Surprised no one's mentioned this yet, but the completed film is in the wild. You can probably download it if you know where to look (and I don't).
I have a bootleg VHS copy that I got 5 or 10 years ago from a guy in my hometown who specialized in bizarre bootlegs before the intarwebz showed us all how it's done. Being non-digital, it's not the best looking, but it's good enough that I know that I'm not missing much by not having a digital copy.
Though to be honest, I wouldn't be missing much anyway. It's about as good as you'd think it is.
Defying physics
I love how at one point in the trailer the Invisible Woman becomes the 'I don't exist woman' as the guards run into each other.
