The death of Bruce Wayne as Batman hasn't meant by any means the end to the Batman story, because at some point, someone else will pick up the mantel or... something. There's a couple different storylines and a whole lot of speculation. There's one arc that has a number of new heroes ready to battle it out take on the Batman role and then there's Neil Gaiman's take on the whole thing, which is a bit different. No idea where he's going with this, but it's possible he may do a "Bruce Wayne really isn't dead thing" from the look of these pages. Or who the hell knows.
