The Petman robot walks like a human, looks like a portable generator [I Heart Tech]

Boston Dynamics recently released this video of a robot called Petman that's one of the closest attempts yet to perfectly mimic human bipedalism. It's still a little awkward, but from what my mad scientist friends tell me, getting a robot to strut in a bipedal manner as opposed to just shuffling is a bitch. Thanks to Delsyd for the link.

They're getting closer to making it look right. The joint that connects the foot doesn't move at all. I think if that was working it would look a lot more natural.
