New trailer for Edge of Darkness, starring Mel Gibson looks all Mel Gibsony [I Heart Movies]

By the time Edge of Darkness comes out in January of next year, it will have been about 8 years since Mel Gibson has appeared in front of the camera as an actor, so naturally, Edge is being hailed as "Mel Gibson's return to acting", which it sort of is, especially if you notice that it's just like almost every other Mel Gibson vehicle ever made.

Mel Gibson must have one requirement for accepting acting roles: Does the character start off as a nice family guy, only to be turned into a badass killer / psycho / weird fucker after his wife and / or kid is murdered or kidnapped? Because that's the general plot of Edge of Darkness. That, and he seems to be murdering a Boston accent. That's all you really need to know.

He gave one good performance-- Skinner in Wim Wenders' Million Dollar Hotel.  And that irrelevant ass publicly panned the film.  Fuck Mel Gibson.  Fuck is atrocious Boston accent.  Fuck this film.  Will skip.

Hmmmm. I never saw The Passion of the Christ. I can honestly say that I will not be seeing this movie either. Don't get me wrong, I like Mel Gibson. He does funny and dramatic very well, his politics and religious views are his own business. Strange that he would use that particular phrase and it be in the movie trailer. Jumped the shark.
