The largest black hole in the universe (as far as we know) [The More You Know]

This is a cool 19 minute video about the largest black hole ever detected in the universe-- OJ-287. The narrator sounds a little like he's channeling William Shatner, but it's still definitely a nice way to spend a short part of your Sunday.

Incredible video.  I especially liked the computer simulation near the end of the two black holes circling each other and blasting away their coronas of gas.  It's always useful to get a reminder that there are so many bigger things out there than little human concerns.

 

Plus, the narrator totally reminded me of G-Man from the Half-Life series.
