Kurt Russell's awkward Han Solo audition tape [I Heart Movies]
We already knew that Kurt Russell had auditioned for the part of Han Solo, but until now, we've never been quite as thankful that Harrison Ford ended up with the role. Kurt Russell isn't really bad in this tape, but he's not Han Solo. Maybe he would have made a halfway decent Rebel soldier somewhere in the film, but not Solo. Via: Cinematical

Not only do we get a sense
Not only do we get a sense for the emo Han Solo that Kurt would have made, you also get the sense for how much the script changed, for the better. Geez, the more I see, the more I think George Lucas had some incredible stroke of luck in making the first series. Like, the kind of once-in-a-lifetime luck you rarely see.
