Julia Child cooks up some primordial soup in her kitchen [The More You Know]
Legendary TV cooking show personality Julia Child was well known for her French onion soup, but in this film from 1976, she cooks up a batch of primordial soup to illustrate how the building blocks of life might have formed in the nasty hot chemical cauldrons of a young Earth. This film was done for the Smithsonian's Life in the Universe gallery.
I'd love to think that this is actually how life on Earth started... with a giant celestial Julia Child standing above a smoldering red and black planet in her bright orange suit jacket, stirring life into existence and raining down lightning and fire from her curly 'fro. I think I've got the beginnings of a new religion. Via: Neatorama

LMAO. I do love Julia Child.

She would be the perfect
She would be the perfect universe creator...I'd like to think she baked us with love.
I like how she illustrates
I like how she illustrates the path of that chart with a knife. Like she's some sort of commando or some former OSS member. Guess which of those two is real? Good find, btw. You wouldn't normally think of Julia Childs as someone tremendously well versed in the scientific origins of life.
More asians please.
