The end of last season got a little hard to follow.  I used to love that show and the gf and I would make a point of catching it every Monday.  We're hesitant to give it another shot, but I've seen some shows come back from worse.  I really can't stand the psychic cop though.  His story arc is so pointless.  I'd much rather see a show centered around Peter/Sylar/Future Hiro and a little bit of Claire.  But the new villians do look promising, so we'll see where it goes.

I think Claire's friend Gretchen will develop powers too.  And I now want the power to control minerals.  Cause the tattoo making guy from the carnival is fucking awesome.  FUCKING AWESOME!!!

I agree, Samuel is awesome. I hope he somehow holds the key to Hiro not dying, because there's very little that would cause me to stop watching the show, but killing off Hiro would be one of those things.

I also think that at some point they're going to have to break the Sylar gets too powerful, knock him down a few pegs, Sylar gets too powerful again etc etc, and I'm not sure how they'll fill that gap.

There seem to be a lot of people who don't like Matt Parkman... I dunno, I think he's a cool character, even if he does get annoying at times. I think it sort of adds to the overall story that he's the guy who's the most reluctant to be involved in everyone else's crap but constantly gets pulled back in.

And I love the deaf chick with synesthesia. I'm sure that her power is more than synesthesia, but I like how in the last episode, it was just left hanging that maybe synesthesia is just her power, which makes the whole thing feel more real somehow-- that on the spectrum of superpowers, there's hiro, claire, sylar and peter on one end and on the other end is the deaf chick with synesthesia and other people who are just more or less normal and whose "powers" are real things that we classify as disorders.

so this season of Heroes has been pretty slow to ramp up as everyone tries to get adjusted to "normal" life, but in yesterday's episode, it looks like it's starting to get up to speed and from next week's preview, it looks like all the gears will finally fall into place.

This week, we had "the kiss", which was way overhyped, probably due to sagging viewership. Other than that, Peter gained the synethesia girl's powers, but somehow has appeared to have lost his other powers, such as super speed, which makes me wonder about the scene for next week, when he takes a bullet for HRG. Or maybe the synesthesia chick is sort of like the Haitian.

It was also cool to see that Claire isn't in a totally freak-free environment with the sorority head that can apparently go invisible, and looks like next week we'll see what's ailing Hiro.

So far the highlight of this new season is definitely Samuel, who looks like he's some sort of creepy Irish sideshow version of Dr. Xavier from X-Men. Will he be able to bring Sylar back to himself? Will Sylar still be evil? STAY TUNED!

Just saw "Once Upon a Time in Texas" and while it started off a little slow (much like this season), and looked like it was going to be incredibly goofy, it turned out really good, if for no other reason than Samuel looks to finally be coming into his evilness and he pisses Hiro the fuck off like I've never seen Hiro pissed off.

Hiro goes back in time to try and finally save Charlie at the Burnt Toast Diner, has a weird and interesting encounter with Sylar and ends up more or less trapped in Samuel's carnival. Oh, and there's a dumb subplot about an affair HRG almost had in the past. Yawn.

So I hear that the writers for Heroes are being told to wrap it up, that there will only be one more season, or one more half season and then Heroes will be gone. Makes me sad, though all things have to end. I know it seems like bitching about how Heroes isn't anything like the first season is the thing to do these days, and yeah, there's some stupid parts to it, but overall I just can't get enough of the show, even with its flaws. Honestly, unless they killed off Hiro, I could probably watch it ad infinitum.

But perhaps this is a good time to start wrapping things up. Heroes is a story that needs an ending and can't go on forever. It's better to go ahead and plan out the ending than to keep trying to drag the show into obscurity.
