So what are you doing this Halloween weekend? God, I love the sound of it. All Halloweens should be on a weekend. A long weekend, to allow for plenty of drinking, candy and video gaming. So here's a rundown of some video game events that are going on this weekend-- some Halloween themed, some not. If there's anything going down this weekend that you think we should know about, let everyone know.

Team Fortress 2

Any new TF2 class updates have been put on hold while most of the dev team has been moved over to working on finishing up Left 4 Dead 2, but that doesn't mean that TF2 has been completely forgotten. This weekend is the first ever Team Fortress Haunted Halloween Special, with new Halloween hats, five new Halloween-themed achievements, a new Halloween map , ghosts and exploding pumpkins. Scaaaary! The TF Haunted Halloween runs from October 29th until November 2nd.

Age of Conan

Age of Conan is offering a free new spoooky content update this weekend called "The Night of Lost Souls" with 3 new quests that give rewards such as a pet demon and a weapon called The Unholy Backscratcher (no really). In addition, a new high level dungeon has been added and people who have been playing for at least a month will be eligible for some cool new stuff. And if you've been avoiding AoC, Funcom is offering 20% off the monthly subscription fee for 3 months, 30% off if you pay for 6 months and a whopping 45% discount if you pre-pay for an entire year.

World of Warcraft

The WoW Hallow's End event has been going on for a few weeks now, but if you're an on-again, off-again WoW player, this might be a good weekend to dip your toe back in, at least long enough to collect masks, fight the Horseman and pick up those Hallow's End achievements. Or you can just wait until next year, because they're going to be the same damn achievements and quests next year, just like they were last year and the year before.

Tales of Monkey Island

The fourth chapter of The Tales of Monkey Island drops today. Titled "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood", it features Guybrush stuck on Flotsam Island with a bunch of poxed pirates. Will Guybrush survive? Who knows? But we do know that Stan the Salesman is making his triumphant return in this Monkey Island chapter.

Champions Online

CO has a new pseudo-expansion, "Blood Moon" coming out today, so to promote it, Cryptic is offering a free weekend, where if you haven't gotten into CO yet (check out the Champions Online forums thread here), this might be a good time to try it out. Shit, it's free.

Uncharted 2

In additon to a patch that addresses a number of multiplayer issues, if you play Uncharted 2 this weekend, you'll get something that's better than a fistful of Necco wafers-- loads of in-game cash. Yes, the next few days will be a "Double Cash Weekend" for Uncharted 2 multiplayer matches. As you can probably suss out from the title, you'll earn double the rank-progressing moolah you would normally gain for playing the various online playlists. In addition, a bunch of Naughty Dog staffers will be playing this weekend.
