Would Rapid cellular regeneration make me like the Highlander? Like could I have cool adventures with Sean Connery? If not i'd chose Time and space manipulation. With that I could go back in time and write Highlander or see it when it came out.. Mainly any power that would make Highlander cooler.. And that in itself is hard to do.

Time travel would kick ass.  So would regeneration.  It's not an awesome combat power but Cypher's ability to understand all languages was pretty neat.

well, if this idea was based on the premise that there were others out there with power (like in the X-men universe or the Heroes universe) I would have to go with Peter Petrelli's original power, the power to retain and mimic any power I came into contact with.   EDIT:  sorry, I missed the exclude the taking other powers thing.

After that, hmm, time manipulation would be pretty neat.

I've actually thought about this since I was 10 years old and I definitely wanna shoot fire balls. But I actually wanna be able to create fire like The Human Torch or Magma. Not like that punk Pyro who needs to carry around a gas tank all the time.

I used to read a ton of comics in my youth, and to use a specific character as an example, I must say, I have always wanted to have Doctor Strange's powers, being mastery of magic. Sounds vague, so to sum up, he can summon / banish horrible things, throw elemental crap (fire, ice...) and fly. drawbacks mainly being that otherwise, he's just a guy. So everyone knows where to find him, and he'll go down with a good sucker punch. Normally, I'd say whatever mojo Thanos is packing, but that all comes from the gauntlet, so really, he has no powers, other than being a fiercely tricky Magnificent Bastard.

I'd like to have Colossus's powers, he's always been one of my favorites.

Does the power to make my family do their chores count as an ability? That would be the most helpful superpower that I can think of, applied logically in my situation. Otherwise, I'd like to fly :)

Easy, I'd do Shapeshifting.  The ability to turn into anything would rock, if it was like Mystique, where the transformation was complete, and not just looking like something.

Actually, another super ability I would totally dig would be the ability to learn languages almost instantly just by hearing them. I love languages and have gotten pretty conversationally fluent in french and german in high school and college respectively and lately i've been trying to learn japanese, but learning languages is such a pain in the ass and then you never really get to use it. but learning any language instantly would be awesome.

apocalypses power. able to alter your molecule structure in any way. dont need much more than that

Energy manipulation. That pretty much covers everything.

Flight, lasers, teleportation, speed, invulnerability, etc.

With Rouge's lifeforce stealing powers.

Two main powers:

1) Seduction/Mind manipulation: By seduction I don't mean attracting the opposite sex, i mean being able to have a silver tounge, a super charm and convince people to do whatever you want them to do.

2) Quick Learning - Be able to learn something immediately, or absorb other people`s knowledge or experience. This goes the same for physical learning, such as playing soccer like Messi or whatnot.

The rest are pretty cliché, but i would go for teletransportation cause long distance relationships suck ass.... or future seeing

The Molecule Mans powers!!!      Owen Reece.        He lLooked like a total nobody,  but he had the power over total molecular re-organization with an unlimited energy level.    He transported the groups back from across space and time from the Beyonder's battle world just by thinking about it.      Even the Silver Surfer could not hurt him.

Or Tony Starks powers.    Now before everybody goes apeshit,  He had the power of techno-invention.     He could dream stuff up and then build it.        It would be totally cool to be a Tech Wizard!

Weather manipulation.

I could fly, control lightning, freeze stuff, end drought, stop floods and wildfires.

I would have to go with unlimited control over matter at an sub-atomic level.

i think i would want to be able to control time and telekenesis (like what jean grey has)

Telepathic manipulation of the universe on the atomic/subatomic level.  That pretty much opens the doors for every power at once.

Two choices--either would be awesome, both would be better.  :)

1) Super speed.  I'm visually impaired (even with glasses), so I find myself relying on other people for a lot of things I don't feel I should have to.  If I had the speed and reflexes (with ancillary abilities like a low-friction sheath, resistance to impact, etc. that those characters "have to" have) of Northstar or Quicksilver, I could go anywhere and do anything, pretty much.  (And before anyone makes 'faster than a speeding bullet' comments, it has been well established that that ain't a problem for almost any speedster.  Pretty much just the one from "Common Grounds.")

2) Multiple Man powers.  You hit me? Now there's two of me.  Hit me again, another split.  I can overwhelm any opponent, sing close harmony all by myself, go out drinking while I stay home to study, and never have to flip a coin to decide what to do with my time--just reabsorb the dupes and I've got all the memories and experiences.

Superspeed dupes?  Even better.

(Yeah, I've thought about this a lot.)

Got to go with time and space manipulation, I would rule  the stock  market and Las Vegas!!

I would definetly choose to have the power of Goku from Dragon ball z. everything from the unbelievable strength to his martial arts skills to being able to go Super saiyan to instant transmission, and especially his ki manipulation and ability to fly. just hopefully without the tail :P

I've been thinking about this since I was like 5 years old and I still can't decide. Telekenesis would be awesome, as would the good ol' time/space manipulation. Wolverene has been a favorite character of mine forever, so the whole heightened senses/reapd cellular regen/claws combo would be pretty cool too. This is probably the hardest nerd question to answer that I know of.
