Apple inadvertedly tries to turn people on to Windows 7 [FAIL]
Tacgnol just sent me this screenshot from Apple's iTunes for Windows download page. Looks like some web monkey (who's probably going to get his or her ass chewed out) thought they might make a pitch for Windows 7... on Apple.com. Sadly, it wasn't up for long. Nice try, mysterious web person at Apple.

Has anyone
Tried windows 7 yet? I heard its as good as xp but with the flash of vista. That info is through the grapevine though. Looking for some more direct feedback before I make the switch.
I've been beta-testing it
I've been beta-testing it since january, and it's better than XP and Vista, hands down. Other than one weird issue I had with the early beta version, it has been rock solid. The interface is clean, and the feature-set is really good. When I have to use XP for work, it's really annoying. Plus, I'm running the 64 bit version, which is 15%-20% faster than XP 32 bit. Even windows media player is much better---I used to use Winamp on XP exclusively, but I haven't run into a situation where I even need to install Winamp. My only recent grive is that WMP still doesn't play MKV media. Other than that, it's damned skippy.

I went Mac last year, I'll never go back. I have a 24inch iMac and a 13inch first gen Aluminum Macbook. Robust and reliable machines. And perfect for the sort of media work I do. As a film student, I've yet to find an NLE I like as much as Final Cut Pro.
