Whether you've seen District 9 or not, you might be interested in seeing "Alive in Joberg", the 6 minute short film by Neill Blomkamp that he used as the basis for District 9. "Alive" also has Sharlto Copley in it, though in a much smaller role than he took on in District 9, but you'll notice that even when he got a much bigger budget, he kept pretty much the exact same down and dirty look and feel-- with much better looking aliens, thankfully.
