With Left 4 Dead 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 both coming out in the next couple weeks, you might want to cancel whatever Thanksgiving plans you have, unless of course your Thanksgiving can be done via XBox Live or the PS3. Here's the brand spanking new HD trailer for the upcoming Prince of Persia: Sands of TIme. It definitely looks very high budget Disney / Bruckheimer spectacular, something that I'm sure will rock plenty of theater seats and launch a thousand toy lines, but I'm still not sure how I feel about Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role.

At a recent Counter-Strike tournament in Moscow, organizers thought they'd turn up the heat a bit and introduce what should be a part of any gaming tourney-- strippers. Strippers sticking their boobs into the back of your head, stripping on the table where your mouse hand is and getting into some softcore lesbo action in your field of view. So what are you doing this Halloween weekend? God, I love the sound of it. All Halloweens should be on a weekend. A long weekend, to allow for plenty of drinking, candy and video gaming. So here's a rundown of some video game events that are going on this weekend-- some Halloween themed, some not. Team Fortress 2

Oh right... I know why I wasn't invited to this wedding. Never mind. Anyway, weddings are always lovely events, lesbian weddings doubly so and lesbian gamer geek weddings quintupally so. Anli and Laura are from New South Wales, Australia, and when they decided to tie the knot, they decided to do so in true geek fashion, with a companion cube cake and their rings displayed on a Nintendo DS. I didn't have a wedding myself. Me and the mrs just went to the JoP and then took some LSD. That was a good time. But if I had had a wedding, it would be exactly like this.

Guitar Hero recreated on a three-story high display, with gifted young freestyle soccer players hitting the buttons with soccer balls. I have no idea what a freestyle soccer player-- er footballer-- is, but they're pretty good. The track is "Underdog" by Kasabian. Thanks to Delsyd for the link.

The much-anticipated Borderlands is finally here! In short, the best way I can describe it is a mix of Deus Ex, Fallout, Diablo, Quake and Crackdown. It is a wonderful game, one I have yet to finish, but I have played enough that I think I can make an accurate review, because even if it suddenly starts to suck at the end, the amount of fun I've gotten so far is worth the $60 price-tag.

If ever you're in Tokyo, if you're an electronics, video or manga geek, one stop has to be the district of Akihabara, which is the electronics district of the city that is chock full of more games, manga, anime and gadgets then your little mortal brain could fathom.
